Workshop
AI4Math Workshop: Shaping the Future of Mathematics with AI
Artificial intelligence is starting to change how mathematicians work, from automating proof discovery and formalisation to assistance with paper writing and reviewing. This half-day workshop brings together mathematicians in the Netherlands to develop a shared vision: what should mathematics with AI look like, and what do we need to get there?

- Time
- 09:30 - 15:00

- Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica, Turing room
Science Park 123, 1098 XG Amsterdam
About the workshop
We invite the mathematics community of the Netherlands to discuss what the future of mathematics with AI should look like. The organisers will prepare a draft vision document before the workshop. Based on feedback and discussions during the workshop, the draft will be further developed towards a published document stating a shared vision of AIM and the broader Dutch mathematics community for the future of mathematics with AI.
We will build on discussions started in, for example:
- Leiden Declaration on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics A community initiative, endorsed by the International Mathematical Union
- A Severe Misalignment of AI in Mathematics Declaration signed by 25 Fields medallists, 11 September 2026
- KWG Math & AI day Utrecht, 23 October 2026 — a closely related meeting of the Royal Dutch Mathematical Society
