Artificial intelligence is starting to change how mathematics is done, from formalisation and proof assistants to conjecture generation and automated reasoning. This half-day workshop brings together mathematicians in the Netherlands to develop a shared vision: what should mathematics with AI look like, and what do we need to get there?

About the workshop
We invite the mathematics community of the Netherlands to discuss what the future of mathematics with AI should look like.
We will continue the discussions started in, for example:
- Leiden Declaration on Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics A community initiative, endorsed by the International Mathematical Union
- A Severe Misalignment of AI in Mathematics Declaration signed by 25 Fields medallists, 11 September 2026
- KWG Math & AI day Utrecht, 23 October 2026 — a closely related meeting of the Royal Dutch Mathematical Society
The workshop will build on these discussions and lead to a published document stating a shared vision of AIM and the broader Dutch mathematics community for the future of mathematics with AI.

Who should attend?
We encourage all interested mathematicians based in the Netherlands to attend, including PhD candidates, postdocs, independent researchers and senior academic staff. No expertise in AI or formalisation is required.

Venue
The workshop takes place at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), Science Park 123, 1098 XG Amsterdam. CWI is on the Amsterdam Science Park campus, a short walk from Amsterdam Science Park railway station.

The workshop is organised by AIM — AI & Mathematics in the Netherlands, the network uniting researchers in the Netherlands working on the interface of mathematics and AI.
